I'm Debra Heslin
In a career spanning 16 years in the airline industry, I had worked with thousands of flight attendants. I had managed people, schedules, coaching, and continual improvements for Inflight in JFK, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando Airports.
This life involved a lot of stress and anxiety and it became clear to me that I was deeply unhappy and honestly didn't know why. I was physically exhausted, emotionally drained and I was barely participating in life - even though in my life at that time, I had everything I ever wanted.
I went to a doctor, desperate for a solution, telling him how depressed I was. I wanted medication, an instant fix. But after talking to him a bit more, he concluded that all the feelings and symptoms I was experiencing came from not having balance in my life. I was very unhappy about my choices and I needed to start making some changes.
I needed to find out what I truly wanted...and take action...and, I was responsible for taking that action

What Is NLP and How Does It Work?
When we think of communication, our minds immediately jump to the conversations we have, the emails and messages that we receive. We fixate on the words used in these interactions but what about all those channels going on inside?
Your mindset has an impact not just through your thoughts or emotions- it is also communicated through your body language. When someone walks into a room with their hands deep in their pocket they project different feelings than when they walk confidently around greeting everyone with open arms. The way you hold yourself can speak volumes without ever saying a single word.
